Justice Defenders are a UK-based, Africa-focused non-profit organisation providing legal education and services for defenceless communities.
Before becoming the Justice Defenders you see today, we provided a wide range of communications services for what was formerly known as the African Prison Project, supporting their teams in the UK and East Africa with content strategy and implementation across social media, stakeholder material, and outreach. This included copywriting and design for newsletters, website and annual reports, as well as for events and promotional material.
For their re-brand, we worked alongside Mighty Ally, Lemon & Honey, and Whiteboard to contribute a powerful new messaging platform to give words to their incredible work. Using their new brand identity, we produced their 2019 Annual Report and created event collateral to amplify the stories of their groundbreaking journey.
